Summary and Purpose of Position:

This this position will ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring for third party service providers. The individual will analyze reports and risk assessments for interpretation and be able to recognize any potential risks to the profitability or existence of the company. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deconstruct vendor and compliance issues and develop a solution for risk mitigation. Assist in providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the company. Perform miscellaneous duties for the Vendor Management team.

Essential Job Functions

·         Follows the Company standards for delivery of integrity, client focus, teamwork and respect for each individual in every interaction.

·         Exhibits observable sense of urgency in the execution of all job functions and duties

·         Meets or exceeds levels of Customer Service delivery established by the Company

·         Maintain and monitor due diligence tasks for third-party vendors

·         Review vendor due diligence materials (i.e. SSAE 16 reports, Business Continuity reports), identify potential issues and follow up for unresolved issues

·         Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance. Conduct vendors’ financial and operational performances

·         Perform tier and risk assessments for new vendors and critical vendors at prescribed intervals

·         Interpret, identify, and mitigate critical risks factors in a timely matter

·         Assist department leads and managers with vendor selection process (i.e. contracts, financial reports, insurance certificates); completion of due diligence tasks and risk assessments

·         Provide status reports to senior management, auditors and regulators

·         Communicate results and recommendations effectively to all levels of management

·         Research on industry/regulatory and cyber security issues

·         Up to date and continuing education of compliance related issues and value added training

·         Perform ad hoc analysis and participate in special projects as needed by management

·         Compiles and provides reports on a regular and ad hoc basis

·         Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor/Graduate degree preferably in business, management, economics, finance, accounting, or 4 years’ minimum experience in financial services and risk management
  • Good understanding of enterprise-wide risk management.
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Products such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Work in fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Be a team player, but also comfortable working within limited supervision
  • Have exceptional organizational, communication and planning skills
  • Have the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet strict deadlines trustworthy, organized, and resourceful; demonstrated ability to maintain discretion
  • Strong communication skills, representing well at all levels, both internally and externally 
  • Experience with cross-functional projects involving several departments
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Prior experience working in the financial, mortgage lending and/or banking industry a plus
