About the company
Touch-Fire Trading was formed in Japan in 2010 by the team that previously built the matching and clearing solutions at 7 futures exchanges in Japan and Asia, and implemented trading and back office solutions for multiple Japanese brokers.
The objective from the start was to build a platform that could support clients wishing to launch new, often complex business initiatives, where typically, multiple systems need to be integrated, new front ends may need to be created. The platform was built to support all the standard requirements of a modern financial system - such as high capacity, low latency and redundancy - but with a flexible plugin design that could be extended and customised to meet the clients requirements.
Our first customer to use the new platform, was one of the futures exchanges in Japan, which needed a position allocation system and reporting system for all their members to access directly.
We soon got involved in work to support both monitoring and reporting for high volume HFT clients. This was the first project to test our low latency, shared memory, plug-able messaging engine. The architecture stood the test, as the client - our first - went from zero to over half a million orders per day in just six days. Subsequent projects included integration projects with each of the exchanges in Japan, Bloomberg, CQG, Trading Technologies, Metatrader and finally going back to our roots with the building of a high performance matching engine.
The team consists of team members previously at NYSE, Patsystems, Fidessa and the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.
